Here are my plays for the card… Welterweight title bout: bout: Chidi Njokuani (+150) vs Gilbert Smith (-190) Gabe’s Thoughts: I like a value play on Njokuani here at +150 because I think there is a good chance he finishes this fight within 25 minutes of action. I think this fight is a coin-flip, so at +150 underdog odds, I have to make a small value play. If it hits the judges’ scorecards, I think it could be anybody’s fight. Gabe’s Call: Njokuani by T/KO (strikes, 2:31 round 2) Gabe’s Recommended Plays: Chidi Njokuani (+150) .5u to win .75u Featherweight bout: Alvin Robinson (+180) vs Ricky Musgrave (-260) Gabe’s Thoughts: I believe Musgrave is the superior mixed martial artist heading into this scrap and like his chances of stopping Robinson within 15 minutes of action. The only way I see him realistically losing is by getting caught in a sneaky submission, and while it is realistic, the chances of it happening are pretty slim. I think he will successfully defend any submission attempts by Robinson as he works his way towards breaking him and earning a stoppage victory. Even at the current juicy line of -260, I see enough value in Musgrave to pull the trigger on a small play.
