The Horden Pavilion in Moore Park, Australia will host a seven-fight boxing card this tomorrow (December 3, 2014). The main event of Daniel Geale vs Jarrod Fletcher has had a line up at Several Bookmakers for a little bit, however lines for almost the entire card have popped up at the book in the last 24 hours. At Several Bookmakers, there are currently no over/under bets available. In the main event, Middleweight Daniel Geale is favored (-325) over Jarrod Fletcher, who returns at (+250). Both men are looking to get back on the winning track, as both are coming off losses in bids to win a world title. Fletcher has a good resume, but he does not have the experience of Geale, who is a former World Champion who has fought some of the top fighters in the weight class. Geale’s last outing was headlining Madison Square Garden opposite Gennady Golovkin in a bizarre outing where Geale was tripped by a cameraman, the first round lasted over four minutes and he hit Golovkin flush with no effect before getting KO’d. Geale now comes back to Australia not ready to seed his spot to Fletcher. Two Heavyweight bouts are on the card, as Willis Meehan is favored (-505) in his debut over Willie Nasio, who returns (+335) and Paul Gallen is favored (-280) over Anthony Watts, who pays (+200). Both matches are four rounders, with Gallen and Watts both entering the fight with (1-0) records. The big news among the heavyweights is 19 year old Willis Meehan who is coming off a win in his debut fight November 22nd and is making his second appearance. Meehan is the son of Kali Meehan, the respected Aussie Heavyweight (42-5 overall record) who won his last outing in November and is said to be dedicated to bringing Willis along. Renold Quinlan is the underdog (+240) when he faces Jake Carr (-320) for the Carr’s Australian Super Middleweight title. Both men are (8-0) overall and represent their opponent’s toughest competition. Shane Quinn is a big dog (+500) as he tries to take Mark Flanagan’s (-900) Australian Cruiserweight title. Quinn started his career a rocky (1-1-1) but he has reeled of nine straight wins to earn the shot at the more veteran Flanagan. Whereas Quinn has one previous 10 rounder under his belt, Flanagan has several 10 and 12 round bouts to his credit and he has already logged 20 fights. And in the tightest line among the Aussie belts on the line, Trent Broadhurst (+105) faces Kerry Foley (-145) for the vacant Light Heavyweight belt. Foley has not fought since February when he suffered his first stoppage loss, while Broadhurst has won five in a row, with four of the five coming early.
