This Friday, November 28th at the Luzhniki Sports Center in Moscow, Ruslan Provodnikov returns to face veteran Jose Luis Castillo in a match that sees Provodnikov, the former WBO Light Welterweight Champion a massive favorite (-5000). Castillo, who is (66-12-1) and is now 40 years old, is a KO puncher who has 57 stoppages on his resume, but he is paying back here at (+2000). This line has remained unchanged for a few days, and several of the other bouts on this nine card event have popped up a the books in the last 24 hours. No real surprises, as the matchmaking usually consists of gross mismatches that result in lines you cant bet. Super Featherweight Andrey Klimov is a big favorite (-2000) as he faces off against Gabino Cota. The fight is for a WBO Inter Continental Title, and similar to the main event, Cota will have a puncher’s chance, as he has a (16-2-1) overall record with 14 KO stoppages. Klimov is looking to notch his 3rd win in a row after his October 2013 fight with Terence Crawford that saw him fail to win a round. The Cruiserweight tilt between Dmitry Kudryashov and Juan Carlos Gomez is a bit tighter affair, as the Russian Kudryashov is favored at (-600) to Gomez, who is returning (+400). Gomez is a Cuban who trains out of Hamburg, Germany and brings a heavy resume of (55-3) with 40 KOs. Gomez is a bit long in the tooth, being on the north side of 40 years old but he fits the bill as far as the matchmaking goes on this card, Heading over to Saturday night and to Omaha, Nebraska, we have the Lightweight title fight between Terence Crawford and Raymundo Beltran. That match sees Crawford a big (-1200) favorite over Beltran, who returns at (+775). In the last 24 hours, the books have started posting odds on the other 12 round bout scheduled for this card, and that is the IBF World Featherweight Title bout between Evgeny Gradovich and Jayson Velez. Gradovich is making the 4th defense of his title, and at (19-0) with a long amateur career under his belt, he is favored at (-900). The Puerto Rican Velez is undefeated at (22-0) and he has 16 stoppages, but he is (+500) for this one. The weekend is dominated by the Dereck Chisora versus Tyson Fury Heavyweight bout scheduled for London. That bout sees Chisora as the underdog at (+250) with Fury paying (-300). The high octane Middleweight encounter between Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr sees Saunders favored at (-140) with Eubank Jr paying out (+120). The final line up currently sees Welterweight Frankie Gavin favored (-300) over Bradley Skeete (+220), but with 13 total fights scheduled on the card, look for several more of the bouts to get lines as we get closer to fight time.
