UFC Fight Night 55 Date: November 7, 2014 Arena: Allphones Arena City: Sydney, Australia The Ultimate Fighting Championship is back in Australia this Friday night with UFC Fight Night 55, and the entire event will be live on UFC Fight Pass; with the main card kicking off at 10pm ET and preliminary action getting going at 7:30pm ET. If interested in wagering on the props suggested in this article, or any other props or wagers, you may do so at Several Bookmakerss. My prop plays for UFC Fight Night 55 in Australia are: Luke Rockhold (-420) vs Michael Bisping (+375) Rockhold -5.5 (-260) 2.6u to win 1u Rockhold Inside the Distance (-145) 1.45u to win 1u Simply put, I think there is a good chance that Rockhold finishes Bisping in this five round main event clash of the middleweights. However, if that does not happen and this scrap sees its way all the way to the judges’ scorecards for a decision, I feel Rockhold will clearly have done enough to deserve the nod. Al Iaquinta (+140) vs Ross Pearson (-150) Iaquinta +3.5 (-195) 1.95u to win 1u Iaquinta Inside the Distance (+490) .5u to win 2.45u I think the chances of Iaquinta finishing Pearson are somewhat greater than the betting odds for the prop currently suggest, so I think that is worth a value play. As for the +3.5, I don’t think Pearson will take all three rounds from the Long Island native, so best case scenario for the Brit, I think he either takes a unanimous 29-28 call or a split decision. That said, should this fight hit the judges’ scorecards, I favor Iaquinta to get the win. Needless to say, I also feel he is the fighter more likely of ending this fight within the 15 scheduled minutes of action. Clint Hester (-185) vs Robert Whittaker (+170) Whittaker by Decision (+365) 1u to win 3.65u In my opinion, this is the most likely outcome to this middleweight match-up. Whittaker is the superior striker of the pair, not to mention the fighter who will have a speed advantage in this fight, as he is the smaller fighter of the two. I think the things Hester is not good at, Whittaker is quite good at, and I feel he will take advantage of those holes in Hester’s striking game and outstrike him for three rounds of action en route to picking up a decision victory in front of the Australian crowd.
