Titan FC 31 Date: October 31, 2014 Arena: USF Sun Dome City: Tampa, FL Titan FC returns from the USC Sun Dome in Tampa, FL this Halloween evening with an 11 fight card, including a five fight main card that will be live on the CBS Sports Network at 10pm ET. If interested in making this parlay, or any other wagers for this UFC fight card, you will be able to do so at Several Bookmakerss. Here’s my parlay for Titan FC 21: Lightweight bout: Mike Ricci (-420) vs Yoshiyuki Yoshida (+300) Gabe’s Thoughts: Ricci is 2-0 since being released from the UFC, with a knockout victory over Jorge Gurgel and a unanimous decision over George Sotiroupolus, respectively. His opponent Yoshida, a fellow UFC veteran is currently enjoying a six fight winning with notable victories over Phil Baroni and Jeremy Hamilton, respectively, and is 6-1 since receiving his pink slip from the UFC. Both of these fighters have been red hot since their time inside the Octagon, and with a victory in this match-up, could very well earn a spot back on the UFC’s 155-pound roster. I believe it is Montreal’s TriStar Gym product Ricci who will make that happen, as I think he will dominate Yoshida for a unanimous decision victory, if not earn a T/KO stoppage. The Jackson-Winklejohn MMA fighter Yoshida is still very solid and a very game opponent at 40 years of age, but I believe Ricci is the superior mixed martial artist heading into this scrap and think he will be able to win every single round. (UPDATE: Mike Ricci has missed weight since I started working on this article, so even with a very impressive victory in this match-up, I don’t believe he will be hearing from Sean Shelby and the UFC. I don’t expect the fact that he missed weight to be an issue with his performance, especially against Yoshida, who I think he deserves to be a heavy favorite over. Also, because Ricci missed weight, this fight has been changed from a title bout to a non-title bout, and Ricci will be fined 20% of his purse.) Gabe’s Call: Ricci by T/KO (punches, 3:55, round 3) Heavyweight bout: Ken Hasegawa (-180) vs Matt Thompson (+140) Gabe’s Thoughts: This is a heavyweight match-up between a pair of big men who are very hard to put away. I don’t say this too often about heavyweight bouts, but I favor this fight to go the full three round distance more often than not, so I see plenty of value in the over 1.5 rounds total at the current betting price of -210. Gabe’s Call: Hasegawa by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Ricci (-420) parlayed with Hasegawa/Thompson Over 1.5 rounds (-210) for -121 2.6u to win 2.15u
