With UFC Fight Night 53, UFC Fight Night 54, The Ultimate Fighter season 20 and Bellator 127 taking place this past week, the MMAOddsBreaker rankings were bound to get shaken up. MMA Oddsbreaker’s Brian Hemminger (@BrianHemminger) and Brad Taschuk (@BradTaschuk) have taken over the reigns of the rankings, which are updated after nearly every UFC event. As always, we only show changes in the rankings with this update. To access the full MMAOddsBreaker rankings, click here. Disagree? While no super significant lightweight bouts took place this past weekend, we decided to drop TJ Grant out of our rankings due to inactivity. It’s now been nearly 1 1/2 years since he knocked out Gray Maynard and he still is not fully recovered from a concussion suffered in training and does not have a bout scheduled. We’ll have to see him in action again before we rank him. Featherweight
Chan Sung Jung also drops out of our rankings due to inactivity while Dennis Siver debuts after scoring a “Fight of the Night” bonus in his Octagon return against Charles Rosa at UFC Fight Night 53. Former Bellator featherweight champion Daniel Straus also returned to action and scored an impressive first round TKO of Justin Wilcox in the main event of Bellator 127, so he jumps up a couple notches. Bantamweight 1. Dominick Cruz 2. TJ Dillashaw 3. Renan Barao 4. Urijah Faber 5. Rafael Assuncao 6. Michael McDonald 7. Marlon Moraes 8. Eduardo Dantas 9. Iuri Alcantara 10. Takeya Mizugaki 11. Johnny Eduardo 12. Bibiano Fernandes 13. Eddie Wineland 14. Kyung Ho Kang (+1) 15. Bryan Caraway (-1) Bryan Caraway put up a decent fight against #5 Rafael Assuncao so he isn’t dropped from our rankings, but we decided to drop him one spot. His lack of striking skills is still a problem that’s going to haunt him throughout his attempts to become a player at bantamweight.
