Here is my parlay for World Series of Fighting 13: Catchweight bout: Cody Bollinger (+400) vs Marlon Moraes (-500) Gabe’s Thoughts: It is without question that Moraes is the superior mixed martial artist in this match-up. Bollinger may be the better wrestler, but Moraes is superior in every other department. As for the wrestling, I believe he will find success in defending Bollinger’s takedown attempts. I expect the Brazilian to keep this fight on the feet, where he will batter Bollinger with his limbs until the referee has decided he’s seen enough. I can’t see Moraes losing this fight, and I personally think he should be a -3500 favorite. I can’t see Bollinger catching Moraes on the feet or with a submission, and I certainly can’t see him doing enough to earn a decision. Other than a disqualification, I don’t see how the Brazilian loses this fight. At the current betting line of -500, I see a world of value in him, and love him as the first leg to my two-way parlay for WSOF 13. Gabe’s Call: Moraes by Submission (guillotine choke, 2:52 round 2) Bantamweight bout: Isaiah Chapman (+140) vs Timur Valiev (-160) Gabe’s Thoughts: These are both talented bantamweights but I believe without a doubt that Valiev is the superior mixed martial artist. I think he is better than Chapman in every aspect of the sport and will manage to get the best of him, regardless of where the fight goes. Chapman likes to strike, so I think this fight will play out on the feet, with Valiev getting the better of Chapman, and likely stopping him with strikes. I think Valiev will also mix in some takedowns and control Chapman on the mat, as he will have a big edge when it comes to the grappling. I could see Valiev winning this fight by T/KO, submission or decision; he really has many routes to getting his hand raised here in this scrap, ultimately earning his second victory under the WSOF banner. I think the only way Chapman wins this fight is by getting lucky and catching Valiev with something, and I don’t see that happening. At the current betting line of -160, I think there is a lot of value in Valiev, as I personally think he should be a -400 favorite. For that reason, I love him as the second leg to my two-way parlay for this WSOF 13 fight card.
