MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 124 light heavyweight Liam McGeary as he prepares for his upcoming co-main event bout against Kelly Anundson this Friday night (September 12th, 2014) at the Compuware Arena in Plymouth Township, Michigan.
The undefeated first round finisher expects his opponent to try to make this a grappling match, but he feels he’s more than ready for whatever Anundson brings to the table due to his rapidly developing skillset:
“If he’s gonna shoot, he’s gonna shoot from a distance and he’s gonna have to meet a knee or an uppercut or anything really. He’s gotta come in and grapple. Even if we go to the ground, my jiu-jitsu is there. You said it yourself. The guys who I train with are high level jiu-jitsu players. My striking coach Jason Strout, he’s done wonders with my hands. I’ve got power. I’ve got speed. I’ve got everything coming on now and it’s only getting better and better.”
