UFC 175 took place tonight at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the card overall was a success as it featured a terrific main event as well as a number of solid bouts on the undercard. Weidman was able to constantly push Machida backwards and he landed a ton of hard strikes over the course of five rounds to retain his championship once again. Weidman cashed as a -175 favorite (bet $175 to win $100) while Machida was a +165 dog (bet $100 to win $165). In the co-main event of the evening, Ronda Rousey defeated Alexis Davis via first-round KO (punches) to defend the UFC women’s bantamweight championship. Rousey slammed Davis to the ground and just 15 seconds in finished her with some brutal strikes from the top. Rousey was -900 while Davis was +700. In a middleweight bout, Uriah Hall defeated Thiago Santos via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27). Hall broke his toe in the first round but battled back to take home a decision win by winning rounds two and three. Hall was -295 while Santos was +265. In a bantamweight match, Urijah Faber defeated Alex Caceres via third-round submission (rear-naked choke). Faber used his wrestling to get the fight to the ground before finally choking out Caceres in the third with an RNC. Faber was -705, while Caceres was +570. UFC 175 Betting Underdogs That Won In a bantamweight bout, Russell Doane defeated Marcus Brimage via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27). Doane was just a little bit more active in the first two rounds and edged out a close decision on the scorecards. Doane was +105 while Brimage was -115. In a welterweight bout, Kenny Robertson defeated Ildemar Alcantara via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26). Robertson’s wrestling was on par and he took the fight to the ground and beat up Alcantara for the victory. Robertson was +115 while Alcantara was -125. In a middleweight bout, Bruno Santos defeated Chris Camozzi via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28). Santos used his grinding style to take Camozzi to the ground and beat him up for a close decision win. Santos was +220 while Camozzi was -240. In a bantamweight bout, Rob Font defeated George Roop via first-round TKO (punch). Font landed a massive punch on Roop that dropped him and the referee correctly stopped the fight. Font was +170, Roop was -185. In a middleweight match, Luke Zachrich defeated Guilherme Vasconcelos via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28). Zachrich used his jab to control the range and outpoint his opponent for a clear-cut decision win. Zachrich cashed at +160 while Vasconcelos lost at -170. In a middleweight bout, Kevin Casey defeated Bubba Bush via first-round KO (elbows). Casey knocked down Bush early in the first round with strikes and then gained top control and finished him with short elbows. Casey cashed at +168 while Bush lost at -180.
