MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Legacy Fighting Championship 31 bantamweight Damacio Page as he prepares for his co-main event bout tonight (June 13, 2014) against Elias Garcia at the Arena Theatre in Houston, Texas.
The former UFC and WEC fighter isn’t sure if he’ll ever make it back to the big show, but he wants to go out on his own terms, and that means fighting to his potential and not leaving any excuses behind:
“I want to end my career on a high note. I don’t want to be that guy who, ‘Coulda, shoulda, woulda. If I had this, if I had that.’ You know what? I’m gonna sacrifice everything I have now and try to make it happen. If it happens, I’ll be a happy dude but if it doesn’t happen, I’ll still be a happy guy. I’m gonna be 32 this year. I want to at least make it to 35-36. It all depends on my body too. I’ve got good strength and conditioning going on. If I start to hurt, my legs start to hurt, my back starts to hurt, my neck starts to hurt, I tail off a bit and focus on other stuff.”
