The second part of Saturday’s double-header will be The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 finale, which will be live on FOX Sports 1, with the main card kicking off at 10:00 pm, preceded by a preliminary card starting at 8pm. The action gets going at 6:30 pm on UFC Fight Pass. After the fights have concluded, the UFC will be awarding a $50,000 ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus for the most exciting bout of the evening. I believe the best-value contenders for this prize are: Carlos Junior/Miranda +500 — This is a fight between two heavyweights who are both finishers and certainly exciting to watch. They fight for the finish, and when they are inside the cage, you shouldn’t blink because a finish could come at any moment. They are both also very tough and hard to put away, so it will be an interesting chess match that will reveal who the superior finisher is. That said, I would not be surprised to see this heavyweight scrap play out for all three rounds en route to the judges’ scorecards. I think they are both talented mixed martial artists who have a future in the UFC, and talented big-men are much needed in the UFC, as the heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions are both ridiculously thin. These two specifically will likely be competing in the 205-pound division after this match-up, as they are both undersized for the heavyweight division. I believe these Brazilian’s are very motivate and will leave it all in the cage in an effort to become The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 heavyweight tournament winner. Lyoto/Alves +500 — These two were in my opinion the best middleweights on the show and they have both secured a spot in the finals. I think they are both fun to watch and believe we are in for a great fight when these two strikers clash inside the Octagon. They are both full of heart and will leave it all in the cage to become The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 middleweight tournament winner. Regardless of how long this one lasts, I think we will be on the edge of our seats, as with these two, a finish could be expected at any moment. They both have good chins, but I do think there is a decent chance of a finish in this bout; especially in later rounds, as neither of them are cardio-machines. They are both first round fighters, for the most part. However, they have absolutely no quit in them, and will give it their all for all 15 minutes of action. This fight very well could be Brazil’s Griffin vs Bonnar. Hobar/Munhoz +600 — I am a fan of both of these bantamweights and believe both of them have a bright future inside the Octagon, though Munhoz may be able to make flyweight, as he looked undersized in his debut against Raphael Assuncao, and looked undersized against Hobar at the weigh-ins, as well. Munhoz gave up his RFA bantamweight title to come to the big show, and Hobar gave up his Legacy FC bantamweight title to do the same on short notice for this bout. Both of these 135-pounders are very talented and fun to watch in action. I feel this is one of the best match-ups on the entire card, from top to bottom, and it just so happens that this fight is all the way at the bottom, being the very first fight on the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card. I believe these two have a great chance at producing a real barn burner, and at +600, I think it’s worth a shot.
