Bellator 119 took place tonight at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, Canada, and the card was mediocre overall as a number of fights were boring decisions, although there were a few sweet finishes to somewhat make up for it. Overall, five favorites cashed while one underdog came through. Here’s a betting recap for Bellator 119 based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Bellator 119 Underdogs That Won In the main event of the evening, Daniel Weichel defeated Desmond Green via second-round submission (rear-naked choke) to win the featherweight tournament. Green took the first round but Weichel rocked Green bad in round two and won the fight with a slick submission. Weichel scored at +190 (bet $100 to win $190), while Green lost as a -210 favorite (bet $210 to win $100). Bellator 119 Favorites That Won In a catchweight bout (160lbs), John Alessio defeated Eric Wisely via unanimous decision (30-27 x 3). Alessio took down Wisely at will and outstruck him on the feet to earn the clear-cut decision win. He cashed as a -230 favorite and Wisely lost as a +210 dog. In a welterweight bout, Marius Zaromskis defeated Vaughn Anderson via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27 x 2). After surviving an early scare, Zaromskis was in cruise control from there on out and thoroughly outpointed Anderson for the decision win. Zaromskis cashed at -335, while Anderson lost at +305. In a heavyweight bout, Raphael Butler and Nick Rossborough fought to a majority draw (28-27, 28-28 x 2) in one of the worst fights of the year. Rossborough won the first round 10-8 after knocking down Butler and scoring an extra point due to an illegal Butler headbutt, but Butler came back to win the second and third rounds to force the draw. Neither Butler at -850 or Rossborough at +668 cashed. In a featherweight bout, Marlon Sandro defeated Chris Horodecki via unanimous decision (30-27 x 2, 29-28). Sandro controlled all three rounds with his striking and his grappling and deserved to get the judges’ nod. He cashed as a -215 fav, while Horodecki lost as a +165 dog. In a middleweight bout, Brian Rogers defeated Adrian Miles via second-round KO (flying knee). Rogers controlled the tempo of the first round with a patient striking attack, and then in the second when his opponent was tiring and retreating he unleashed a vicious flying knee to score the big KO win. Rogers cashed as a -300 fav, while Miles lost as a +220 dog.
