Five crazy prop bets is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every UFC event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here’s five crazy UFC Fight Night 37 bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Alexander Gustafsson wins in round two (+425) In the main event of UFC Fight Night London, Alexander Gustafsson was able to take out Jimi Manuwa via second-round knockout in one of the best finishing sequences of the year. Gustafsson was saying all week he would win in the second round and he called his own shot as Manuwa went down to the canvas after taking a huge knee and a number of follow-up punches to the head. The prop on Gustafsson wins in round two hit at +425, so fair play if you believed “The Mauler” when he said he’d win this fight in round two. Brad Pickett wins by decision (+250) In one of the most entertaining fights of the night, Brad Pickett defeated Neil Seery via three-round decision. Pickett was able to land enough takedowns to get the nod on all three judges’ scorecards, and the prop bet on him to win by decision hit at +250. If you bet that one, nice call on the value. Ilir Latifi wins inside the distance (+240) In a light heavyweight contest, Ilir Latifi was able to defeated Cyrille Diabate with a first-round ninja choke. It was a very impressive sophomore effort from Latifi, who was in much better shape than his first fight in the UFC against Gegard Mousasi. Latifi wasn’t expected to finish the fight so the prop on him to win a decision was undervalued at +240. Nice job if you hit that one. Claudio Silva wins by decision (+550) In a middleweight bout, Claudio Silva defeated Brad Scott via hard-fought decision in what was a very competitive fight between the two British-based fighters. Although Silva has much work to do, he did get the win in his Octagon debut and the prop bet on him to win a decision cashed out at +550. Congrats if you bet that one, because I certainly didn’t. Louis Gaudinot wins inside the distance (+205) And in the very first fight of the night, Louis Gaudinot defeated Phil Harris via first-round guillotine choke. Gaudinot used the exact same move he tapped out John Lineker with on Harris to earn his second victory in the Octagon in what was a must-win fight for the green-haired fighter. The prop bet on Gaudinot wins ITD cashed at +205, so nice job if you bet that.
