He moves on to fight in the light heavyweight tournament final and won as a fav, while Zayats goes back to the drawing board after losing as a dog. In the first featherweight quarterfinal, Daniel Weichel defeated Scott Cleve via first-round submission (rear-naked choke) to advance in the tournament and win as a fav. He was the only favorite to win in the featherweight quarterfinals. Bellator 110 Underdogs That Won In a featherweight tournament quarterfinal bout, Matt Bassette beat Diego Nunes via split decision in one of the worst decisions seen in sometime. The decision took away from the fact that the fight was so entertaining, but there’s no doubt that Nunes should have got the nod and this decision was just horrible. Bassette cashed at +405, while Nunes lost at -455. In another featherweight tournament quarterfinals, Des Green defeated Mike Richman via unanimous decision in a very close fight. Green got more takedowns and landed his jab often on Richman, but most figured “The Marine” would get the nod. Still, the judges gave it to Green and he won as a +220 dog, while Richman lost as a fav -240. And in another featherweight tournament quarterfinal, Will Martinez picked up a big upset win over Goiti Yamauchi. The dog looked terrific throughout all three rounds and cashed out at +355, while Yamauchi lost at -400.
