MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 110 light heavyweight “King Mo” Lawal as he prepares for his main card tournament semifinal bout tomorrow night (February 28, 2014) against Mikhail Zayats at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.
The former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion knows he has a tough test in front of him, but he feels his wrestling will be the ultimate deciding factor:
“I’ve got to pressure him. I’ve got to take him down, keep my hands in his face. I’ve got to pressure him, keep him moving backwards. I can’t let him get in the groove and do all the things he does with his hands. I’ve got to force him to move backwards, touch his body, take him down, punish him, smother him. It’s gonna be like a grind. I’ve got to fight him like a collegiate wrestling match. Grind it out. That’s the best way to beat them Russians.”
