UFC 170 turned out to be a very fun event as it featured a number of exciting finishes, many of which came by surprise — and therefore the odds on them were pretty crazy. Here’s five crazy UFC 170 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Ronda Rousey Wins By T/KO (+856)/Rousey Wins Fastest KO Of The Night (+2000) In the main event of UFC 170, Ronda Rousey defended the UFC women’s bantamweight title for the third time with a first-round knockout victory over Sara McMann. It was an unbelievable performance by Rousey, and winning her first pro fight via a method other than submission showed that she’s evolving her overall game. The prop bet on Rousey to win by T/KO cashed at +856, so congratulations if you figured Rousey would win that way. As well, the latest prop bet addition at Several Bookmakers is Fastest KO of the Night, and Rousey’s knockout was just a bit faster than Daniel Cormier’s and Erik Koch’s so the prop on her getting the fastest knockout cashed out at +2000. Congrats if you hit that one, as well. Mike Pyle Wins In Round Three (+1025) In a main card welterweight bout, Mike Pyle absolutely destroyed TJ Waldburger’s head with a series of violent punches and elbows late in the third round. It was the most impressive performance of Pyle’s career, and he improved to 9-4 overall in the UFC with the win. The prop bet on Pyle to win in round three cashed out at +1025, so if you bet on Waldburger’s chin holding up that late, nice job, because I certainly didn’t think it would last past the second. Stephen Thompson Wins By T/KO (+350)/Thompson Wins In Round One (+500) In the opening main card bout, Stephen Thompson defeated Robert Whittaker via first-round TKO. Although the fight was playing out competitively on the feet early, Thompson soon landed with a straight punch that rocked Whittaker and then he finished up the job with some more heavy strikes. Thompson looked absolutely amazing in victory, and improved to 3-1 overall in the UFC with the win. Alexis Davis Wins By Decision (+183) In a women’s bantamweight bout that had title implications, Alexis Davis defeated Jessica Eye via split decision. It was a very competitive fight but personally I thought Eye won the fight based on her boxing up Davis’ face. Still, Davis won, and the prop bet on her cashed at +183. For a fight that most figured would hit the cards, I feel like this prop was undervalued and looking back I wish I took a bite. Ernest Chavez Wins By Decision (+425) And finally, in the opening preliminary card bout of the night, Ernest Chavez defeated Yodenis Cedeno via split decision to pick up his first win in the Octagon. It wasn’t a dominating performance by Chavez, but he did enough with his grappling to control Chavez on the ground and win the fight in two judges’ eyes. The prop bet on Chavez to win by decision was at +425, so if you bet that one congratulations.
