UFC Fight Night 34 went down at the break of dawn on Saturday morning via Fight Pass, and the card was overall pretty surprising as it featured a number of fights that didn’t play out at all the way that the betting public expected. That, of course, means that a number of juicy prop bets cashed, and below I’ll list off the five craziest UFC Fight Night 34 prop bets to hit based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Tarec Saffiedine vs. Hyun Gyu Lim wins Fight of the Night (+235) The main event of the evening between Tarec Saffidine and Hyun Gyu Lim turned into a five-round war in which both men left everything in the cage, and after the event both men were awarded 50k bonus cheques for “Fight of the Night.” Despite this being by far the best matchup on the card going into the event, the prop on it to win FOTN was undervalued at +235. A great prop bet to cash if you got it, for sure. Tatsuya Kawajiri wins inside the distance (+335) The co-main event of the evening saw veteran Tatsuya Kawajiri make his long-awaited UFC debut and look great in doing so, as he was able to submit touted prospect Sean Soriano via second round rear-naked choke. The prop bet on Kawajiri to win ITD closed at +335, so if you hit that one I tip my hat to you because I certainly didn’t expect for “Crusher” to get the finish. Kiichi Kunimoto wins inside the distance (+351) In a strange welterweight fight, Luiz Dutra hit Kiichi Kunimoto with illegal strikes to the back of the head that knocked the Japanese fighter out cold. The referee rightfully disqualified Dutra, and Kunimoto won via DQ. Even though he won by DQ, the prop bet on Kunimoto still cashed at +351, so if you had some money on that one, nice job, even though it involved a bit of luck. Royston Wee wins by desicison (+377) Singapore’s first UFC fighter Royston Wee absolutely dominated Dave Galera with the takedowns to take home a clear-cut decision in his Octagon debut. The fight was boring, but if you bet on Wee to win a decision — which was +377 — then the fight must have been pretty exciting to you. Russell Doane wins inside the distance (+335) In a bantamweight card that kicked off the vent, Russell Doane was able to rally back after he lost the first round to submit Leandro Issa with just one second left in the second via triangle choke. It was an impressive win for Doane, and the prop bet on him to win ITD cashed at +335. Congrats if you nailed that one, or tailed our own Gabe Killian on it.
