UFC on FOX 9 ‘Fight of the Night’ Betting Props UFC on FOX 9 is an 11 fight card filled with a lot of lighter-weight talent, and it will be live tonight at 7 pm ET from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, C.A. After the event has concluded, the UFC will reward a bonus for the most exciting bout of the evening. The option to bet which fight will win the UFC’s $50,000 ‘Fight of the Night’ is only available at Several Bookmakerss. I believe the top contenders for this prize are: Faber/McDonald +325 – These two are always involved in very exciting match-ups, and fight fans are anxious to see his bantamweight war. As long as there is no early finish, I think this fight has a very good chance at taking home the prize. This is actually my favorite to take the award, but I don’t want to bet it at +325. I certainly would if it were +400. If it hits +350, I will likely even consider a play on it. So far, at +325, there isn’t quite enough value for me to pull the trigger. Close, but not enough. Faber already owns one Fight of the Night bonus in his UFC career, while McDonald owns two. Danzig/Lauzon +800 -This has all the makings of an incredibly fun fight. We have two very exciting lightweights opening up a main card on FOX, and I think it is going to be a fight where they both leave it all in the cage. Lauzon is coming off of a horrendous performance against Michael Johnson, and he is trying to wipe that from people’s memories. Danzig was brutally knocked out by Melvin Guillard in his last outing, and now fighting without sponsors and with his back against the wall, he looks to put on an impressive performance. One that will likely earn him a bonus. Danzig and Lauzon together own a combined eight Fight of the Night awards, with three belonging to Danzig, and five to Lauzon. Castillo/Barboza +1200 -I see plenty of value in this line. As long as Barboza does not get an early knockout, and Castillo doesn’t just try to wrestle, this could play out to be an incredibly exciting fight. Barboza already owns three Fight of the Night bonuses, while Castillo owns none. Bowling/Trujillo +1100 -This is a rematch between a pair of lightweights who ended their first bout on very bad terms, when it resulted in a no contest after Trujillo knocked Bowling out with an illegal knee. Bowling was seconds away from being up in the fight two rounds to none when the blow happened. Rather than Bowling being awarded the win bonus, UFC President Dana White thought the knee was legal, and awarded Trujillo his win bonus. Bowling is not happy and wants to get revenge, but he has his head together. I think these two are going to take each other’s heads off, and at +1100, it could be worth a stab. Should they win the bonus, it would be the first time for both parties. My play for the Fight of the Night winner: Danzig/Lauzon +800 for .25u to win 2u
