MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC on Fox 9 bantamweight Urijah Faber as he prepares for his main card bout this weekend (Dec. 14, 2013) against Michael McDonald at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California.
The former WEC champion understands that his upcoming opponent is very dangerous early in the fight, but he feels that his overall skill-set will help him win the day when it’s all said and done.
“There’s no secret he’s really accurate with his punches and he’s got power. That speed, accuracy and power makes him a really dangerous opponent. In the first round especially, he comes out, he kind of lulls and has explosions of dangerous spurts of punches. He tries to catch you with one and keeps on firing. He’s probably one of the best in the UFC at swarming when he smells blood. I’ll be aware of that. Luckily I’m one of the most durable guys in the sport, in the division for sure, and I can punch, I can kick, I can wrestle and I can submit. I feel like I’m the more well-rounded fighter for sure.”
