MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale heavyweight Jared Rosholt as he prepares for his promotional debut this weekend (Nov. 30, 2013) against Walt Harris at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Team Takedown fighter has been on quite a tear since suffering his lone career defeat to Derrick Lewis over a year ago, and the difference has entirely been the motivation from the loss.
“If you’re a real competitor, I think any time you lose it lights a fire under you. After losing that fight, I realized I probably needed to take a little time and get in better shape and stuff because coming into that fight, I took that fight six months after a knee surgery. I went in there not in the best shape thinking I could finish him in the first round but once it went after that, I was in trouble. I took the next six months to really let my ACL for sure heal up and I started out 2013 with a 7-0 opponent and got it started off right with a couple wins. This will be my fifth fight this year.”
