UFC 167 takes place tonight in Las Vegas, NV, and the card is absolutely stacked on paper with a number of exciting fights that should provide an evening of entertainment for the fans. I’ve looked through all the prop bets on the board at Several Bookmakers and have selected five which I think are very likely winners. Rory MacDonald vs. Robbie Lawler doesn’t go three-round distance (-155) In one of the most intriguing matchups on the entire UFC 167 card, Rory MacDonald takes on Robbie Lawler in a welterweight fight that could garner the victor a title shot. Both of these guys possess finishing instincts and even though MacDonald comes from a camp that likes to play it safe, I think he needs a finish here for the good of his career and Lawler’s only way to win is by finish. So at -155, this fight not going the distance is a great bet. Donald Cerrone vs. Evan Dunham goes three-round distance (-175) In the main event of the preliminary card, Donald Cerrone and Evan Dunham will go toe-to-toe in a fight between two of the best lightweights in the world. It’s a very evenly-matched bout between two equally-skilled fighters and one that I see going the full three rounds. At -175, I’d rather pay that juice than bet on either of these guys on the moneyline because I have a feeling there could be some bad judging in this match. Erik Perez vs. Edwin Figueroa doesn’t go three-round distance (-145) In a bantamweight bout, Erik Perez takes on Edwin Figueroa. I fully expect Perez to come through with either a T/KO or submission victory here, but since Perez ITD is only -110 I’d rather pay a little extra juice and just bank on the fight not going the distance in case of a fluke KO win by Figueroa. Jason High vs. Anthony Lapsley doesn’t go three-round distance (-215) In one of three Facebook fights, welterweights Jason High and Anthony Lapsley go head to head. This is another fight I don’t see going three full rounds as both High and Lapsley have been finished before and in a fight that is so important to each of their careers, I just can’t see it lasting three full rounds. -215 is a bit too much to play this prop straight, but combining it with the prop listed below seems like a decent idea. Gian Villante vs. Cody Donovan doesn’t go three-round distance (-185) In the first fight of the night, Gian Villante and Cody Donovan face off in a light heavyweight fight I don’t see going three full rounds. Both of these don’t have the best chins and both do have power, so unless this turns into some sloppy wrestling match it’s going to end inside the distance. At -185, the fight not going the full three rounds is a solid bet.
