MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 167 welterweight Tyron Woodley as he prepares for his main event bout on Saturday night (Nov. 16, 2013) against Josh Koscheck at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The American Top Team fighter is bracing for one of the most high profile bouts of his career against one of the longest-running welterweights in Ultimate Fighting Championship this weekend, but he won’t be intimidated.
“Competition is competition. He’s been competing in MMA longer. He’s been in the game longer but he’s older in the sport. I think the hungry aspect and wanting to make a statement and wanting to make your mark in MMA, sometimes I think that hunger supersedes experience. I’m just looking to make my stamp. I think he’s had the opportunity to do what he’s gonna do in this sport. He’s beaten some top guys but he’s made his legacy already and I’m looking to grab some of his fans along the way and make my run towards the title.”
