There’s always value hidden in the prop line for UFC events, and UFC Fight Night 30 isn’t immune to it. Here’s five prop bets to consider betting on for tomorrow’s event in Manchester, England. Lyoto Machida vs. Mark Munoz doesn’t go to decision (-150) Lyoto Machida makes his middleweight debut against Mark Munoz in the main event of UFC Fight Night 30, and I think he’s going to get the finish in highlight-reel fashion. Instead of betting on Machida ITD at -115, go with the fight doesn’t go the distance at -150 to protect yourself in case of a Munoz finish. It’s a solid bet to cash because there’s five rounds in this fight, so I definitely recommend it. Melvin Guillard vs. Ross Pearson doesn’t go to decision (-260) In the co-main event of the evening, Melvin Guillard fights Ross Pearson in a lightweight bout that should be explosive and fun to watch. I see one of these guys going to sleep — probably Pearson — so even though it’s -260 I think the prop of this fight ending ITD has some solid value. Ryan Jimmo vs. Jimi Manuwa doesn’t go to decision (-195) In a lightheavyweight bout, Ryan Jimmo of Canada battles Jimi Manuwa of England in a fight that should end inside of three rounds. Instead of playing Manuwa straight at -165, I went with the prop of the fight doesn’t go the distance at -195, which is good insurance in case of a Jimmo upset. John Lineker vs. Phil Harris UNDER 2.5 rounds (-135) In a flyweight matchup, John Lineker returns to the cage to take on Phil Harris in a fight that will see the winner get a step up in competition their next time out. I expect that to be Lineker, and I think he’s finish this fight. But if he gasses out — he missed weight at the official weigh ins — it’s possible Harris could submit him late in the second or in the third. And that’s why I like betting the UNDER 2.5 rounds prop in this fight instead of Lineker ITD. This is one of my favorite plays on the entire card and I highly recommend betting on it. Andrew Craig wins via T/KO (+225) In one of the preliminary fights that I’m most looking forward to, middleweight Andrew Craig takes on Luke Barnatt in a fight that I really like Craig in. In fact, I think Craig is going to knock Barnatt out, and at +225, I definitely think this prop has some good value in it, either as a small straight play or as part of a round robin.
