UFC 166 ‘Submission of the Night’ Betting Props UFC 166 is live from the Toyota Center in Houston, T.X. tonight! The 13-fight card will feature a great number of fun fights, and almost certainly, plenty of finishes. Ultimate Fighting Championship will be handing out a $50,000 bonus for Submission of the Night — the option to bet on which fighter will win said bonus is only available at Several Bookmakerss. I believe the top contenders for this prize are: Shawn Jordan +5000 — Gonzaga is the superior submission artist of the two, but Jordan is no joke on the mat. Once Gonzaga starts to gas and he will, Jordan could possibly catch him with something, and at +5000, it most certainly is worth a bet. Gabriel Gonzaga +1000 — Yes, Gonzaga could get a knockout, too, but I think a submission is his most likely route to victory, and if you’re backing him in this fight, this would be the best bet for you to make, as a tapout victory for him will likely mean earning Submission of the Night honors. George Sotiropolous +1000 — Sotiropolous is a very talented submission artist, and should the fight hit the mat, he will have a very clear advantage, likely securing a tap. He owns seven victories inside the Octagon, and four have them are by submission, though he has yet to receive a Submission of the Night award. TJ Waldburger +550 — Waldburger is one of my favorite submission artists to watch. He is absolutely talented and is a wizard on the canvas. In four victories inside the Octagon, three of them have been by submission, and two have earned him Submission of the Night honors. Gabe’s SOTN Play: 1u on Shawn Jordan +5000 and 1u on Waldburger +550, so if Jordan wins the award, we’re +49u, and if Waldburger wins it, we’re +4.5u. Basically, risking 2u to win 49u/4.5u
