The former United States judo Olympian has already faced Weedman before, defeating him via decision in the season seven six lightweight tournament finals, and he’s hoping for a slightly different outcome this time around:
“I hope to finish him this time, but he’s a very tough kid. One thing that’s been helpful is I fought him in the finals last year and by the finish of that, it was like five months of training non-stop. This time, it was just two months since I took this tournament on short notice. I’m healthy and ready and confident.”
