UFC 165 ‘Fight of the Night’ Betting Props

Pat HealyUFC 165 Fight of the Night Betting Props UFC 165 from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada is guaranteed to produce a night of exciting fights. For the most entertaining bout of the evening, UFC will be awarding a $50,000 bonus. The option to bet which fight at UFC 165 will win the “Fight of the Night” bonus can only be found at Several Bookmakerss. I believe the top condenders for this prize are: Jon “Bones” Jones vs Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson +300 — If Bones and The Mauler both show up on top of their game, I see no reason why this fight won’t be very exciting. As long as Gustafsson puts up a fight against Jones, this could be a winner. Though, I personally don’t like the return on my investment, considering there are other fights on the card that have equal or more potential of winning the award, yet have much better odds. Jones currently owns two Fight of the Night awards, while Gustafsson owns none. Renan Barao vs Eddie Wineland +270 — This fight will likely be more exciting than the Jones/Gustafsson fight, so I agree with the odds in those regards. But also, much like with that fight, the value on this fight winning the award is not there, either. The return is simply not worth the investment. That said, this should be a fun fight and most likely to win the award. Contrary to popular opinion, I don’t think Barao will run through Wineland. I think it will be a competitive fight and a very exciting one. Together, they own two Fight of the Night awards; one belonging to each. At +350, maybe I would have considered a play. At +270, no thanks. Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Pat Healy +600 — What a way to start the main card! A battle between two warriors who you can always count on to bring it and leave it all in the cage. These are two fighters who are looking to advance in the lightweight division and get their title shots they feel they deserve. While Healy is not the most exciting fighter, I think stylistically, his match-up against Nurmagomedov is a recipe for a fun fight. Plus don’t discount that Healy brought the house down in his UFC debut earlier this year with a double fight night bonus, even if it did get taken away after the post-fight drug test. This should be a gritty, 15-minute back and forth war which earns a lot of cheers from the Toronto crowd. Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres vs Roland Delorme +900 — This is my favorite fight on the entire card and the fight I am most looking forward to as a fan. I think it is absolutely insane to put a fight like this on Facebook. Maybe not on the main card, but it definitely belongs on the televised portion of the prelims. These are two very exciting fighters in the UFC’s bantamweight division and both young men fight their hearts out every time they step into the cage. Caceres is more patient and calculated, while Delorme is aggressive and more of a finisher. This fight will be exciting both on the feet and especially in the grappling exchanges on the mat. I would not be surprised, at all, if these two take home the prize. Gabe’s FOTN Play: 1*UNIT Nurmagomedov/Healy +600 and 1*UNIT on Caceres/Delorme +900 — Risking 2*UNITS to win 5*UNITS, if Nurmagomedov/Healy wins, or 8*UNITS, if Caceres/Delorme wins.
