When the rematch was announced and we got early eyes on the odds for it I was definitely staying away from the price on Oleksandr Usyk. I was almost considering taking a stab at Tyson Fury due to his underdog price.
Now on fight week and not much longer to go until fight night Usyk’s price has dropped and it is now worth looking into. If you can get Usyk around -125, maybe -130 or anything cheaper than I would not have a problem taking that. I still like Usyk to win the fight due to the same reasons why I picked him in their first meeting back in May – his style just presents problems for Fury.
One of my concerns though for Usyk is the body work as he is susceptible to it just as he showed against Fury. Usyk started strong, started to slow down in the middle rounds, then rallied back strong to close the show after severely hurting Fury. I would like to see Usyk keep pressure on Fury and not be on the back foot as much. It works in his favor much better when he is the aggressor and outputs more volume than Fury.
