Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 169:
- The main event of Cage Warriors 169 sees Jordan Vucenic take on Simone D’Anna at featherweight. Vucenic is 8-1 so far in Cage Warriors and he enters this bout having won his last two fights by submission. As for D’Anna, he is a Bellator veteran who has gone 1-0 so far in Cage Warriors. He enters this bout having won his last three fights in a row. While D’Anna has done well in his career lately, Vucenic is the superior fighter and he should be able to win this fight. There is a reason why he is such a big favorite to get the win in this main event spot.
- The co-main event of Cage Warriors 169 sees Shawn Marcos Claudina Da Silva take on Lone’er Kavanagh at flyweight. Da Silva is unbeaten so far in his MMA career and he holds a 2-0 record so far in Cage Warriors FC. As for Kavanagh, he is also unbeaten and he has won his last three fights in a row for Cage Warriors. This looks like a very good fight between two prospects who have never lost before. The oddsmakers have favored Da Silva but only by a little bit.
