Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Bellator Champions Series Belfast:
- The main event of Bellator Champions Series Belfast sees Corey Anderson take on Karl Moore for the vacant Bellator light heavyweight title. Anderson is 4-1, 1 NC overall in Bellator and he is coming off a split decision win over Phil Davis in his last fight. As for Moore, he has won his last four fights in a row for Bellator. Moore is a very underrated light heavyweight and he absolutely has a chance to win this fight, but given Anderson’s name value and his higher profile of competition, it makes sense the oddsmakers set him as the favorite for this fight.
- In the co-main event, Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Pitbull defends his belt against Jeremy Kennedy. Pitbull is coming off two straight losses including a shocking upset knockout loss in RIZIN to Chihiro Suzuki. As for Kennedy, he has won his last three fights in a row inside the Bellator cage, including a huge upset win over Aaron Pico, albeit via injury. Pitbull is one of the best featherweights of all time, but he is getting up there in age and Kennedy has been looking sharp. As such, the oddsmakers opened this fight up as a Pick ’em.
