Here are my quick thoughts on the 2023 PFL World Championship Opening Odds:
- The 2023 PFL World Championship features six title fights, including Olivier Aubin-Mercier against Clay Collard for the lightweight championship. OAM won the tournament last year and took home the $1 million and he is now looking to win the title for a second time. OAM has won his last nine fights in a row, including wins over Bruno Miranda, Anthony Romero, and Shane Burgos during this year’s tournament. As for Collard, he won all three of his fights this season with victories over Burgos, Stevie Ray, and Yamato Nishikawa. This should be an amazing fight between two former UFC fighters who have really found their home in the PFL. OAM is the favorite here as he should be, but do not count out Collard from getting the win.
- Also on the card is the heavyweight title bout between Denis Goltsov and Renan Ferreira. Goltsov has won his last five fights in a row including three stoppage wins this season. As for Ferreira, he has won his last two bouts via knockout. Goltsov is the favorite to get his hand raised in this one, but Ferreira is a very dangerous fighter and he has a puncher’s chance.
