UFC 164 turned out to be an unbelievable fight card full of amazing finishes and plenty of unexpected outcomes. There were a number of crazy things that happened, and that meant there were once again a ton of prop bets that cashed out big. Here’s five crazy UFC 164 prop bets that hit, with the closing lines courtesy of Several Bookmakers: Anthony Pettis Wins By Submission (+820)/Pettis Wins In Round 1 (+600)/Pettis Wins Submission of the Night (+1500) Anthony Pettis defeated Benson Henderson via first-round armbar submission in the main event of UFC 164 to win the UFC lightweight championship as well as make all Pettis bettors very happy. The prop on Pettis to win by submission cashed out at a whopping +820, Pettis wins in round 1 cashed out at +600 and one of the top props of the whole night to cash was Pettis wins Submission of the Night at +1500. Chad Mendes Wins By T/KO (+320)/Mendes Wins In Round 3 (+1100)/Mendes Wins Knockout of the Night (+1200) Chad Mendes did the unthinkable as he finished Clay Guida for the first time in his career in a victory that propels him to the top of the 145 pound contender rankings. The prop on Mendes to win by T/KO at +320 was a nice hit, but the props on Mendes to win in round 3 at +1100 and Mendes wins Knockout Of The Night at +1200 were the big winners of the night. Ben Rothwell Wins In Round 3 (+1000) Ben Rothwell had one of his best performances in years as the heavyweight nicknamed “Big” was able to bully the smaller Brandon Vera around the cage and eventually finish him off in the third round with punches and knees. The prop on Rothwell to win in round 3 cashed out at +1000, so if you predicted him to win late in the fight congrats, as I personally was on Rothwell by decision at +380. Hyun Gyu Lim Wins By T/KO (+400)/Lim Wins In Round 1 (+650)/Lim vs. Krauss Wins Fight of the Night (+2000) Hyun Gyu Lim and Pascal Krauss combined for what was deemed to be Fight of the Night at UFC 164 despite the fact Lim knocked Krauss out in the first round. Congrats if you bet on Lim wins via T/KO at +400 and Lim wins in round 1 at +650, but anyone who cashed on the FOTN prop at +2000 got lucky as Dustin Poirier vs. Erik Koch should have got the award. Magnus Cedenblad Wins By Submission (+500) Magnus Cedenblad had an amazing performance in the first fight of the UFC 164 card as he was able to grab Jared Hamman’s neck on a poor takedown attempt and pull it tight, finishing the fight via guillotine choke in under a minute. The prop on Cedenblad to win by submission was +500, so congrats if you bet on this prop.
