Hispanic MMA promotion Combate Americas hosts Combate 46 at the AVA Amphitheater in the Casion Del Sol in Tuscun, Arizona on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 9 p.m. ET live on DAZN, with prelims streamed live on Facebook. The main event features a bantamweight bout between Jose Alday and Joby Sanchez.
Alday (13-4-1) is a savvy Combate veteran sporting a 4-2 record in the promotion. He has won four of his last five fights, including his most recent bout, a unanimous decision victory over Juan Pablo Gonzalez at Combate 39 in June. Sanchez (12-5) is a five-fight UFC veteran making his Combate debut. He has lost three of his last four bouts, most recently losing via first round armbar submission against Brandon Royval in the main event of LFA 65 this past May.
The co-main event features a bantamweight bout between Anthony Birchak and Erik Radleim. Birchak (14-6) is a four-fight UFC veteran and currently sports a 1-0 record under the Combate banner. He has won two fights in a row, most recently defeating Raphael Montini de Lima via first round rear naked choke at LFA 72 in July. Radleim (4-4) steps in on short notice for Jose Luis Calvo, who dropped out of the fight with visa issues, and is making his debut with the promotion. Radleim has won four of his last six fights, most recently losing via second round TKO to Antonio Duarte in August.
