UFC 229 took place Saturday, October 6, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card was headlined by by the lightweight title fight between champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and challenger Conor McGregor.

Dominick Reyes earned the biggest win of his career as he was able to out strike Ovince St. Preux in all three rounds of their fight. Reyes closed -230. St. Preux closed +190.
Vicente Luque dropped Jaylin Turner in the opening round and finished Turner with vicious ground and pound to win by knockout. Luque closed -900 with the return on Turner +550.
Aspen Ladd made a statement to the bantamweight division by brutalizing Tonya Evinger with tremendous ground and pound to win by first round stoppage. Ladd closed -185 while Evinger closed +155.
Yana Kunitskaya employed a smart game plan of takedowns early and then keeping Lina Lansberg at distance for the remainder of the fight to win a clear decision. Kunitskaya closed -260. Lansberg closed +210.
Nik Lentz had his way with Gray Maynard mauling him early for a big first round, but it wasn’t until the second round when he landed a right head kick that sent Maynard to the canvas to give Lentz the victory. Lentz closed -230 with the return on Maynard +190.
Underdogs that Won In a wild turn of events, Derrick Lewis rocked Alexander Volkov late in the third round and finished him with ground and pound in the final seconds to earn a huge victory. Lewis closed +125. Volkov closed -155. Michelle Waterson landed kicks throughout the fight to out strike Felice Herrig to a decision win. Waterson closed +105 while Herrig closed -135.
Jussier Formiga secured dominant positions in the fight with a superior grappling game to defeat Sergio Pettis. Formiga closed +150 with the return on Pettis -190.
Scott Holtzman was sharp in this bout landing a counter right hand with regularity, but it wasn’t until the third round when he finished Alan Patrick with ground and pound. Holtzman closed +270 while Patrick closed -360.
Tony Martin landed a flush right head kick in the third round that sent Ryan LaFlare tumbling to the mat. Martin followed LaFlare to the ground and finished the fight with punches. Martin closed -110, while LaFlare closed -120.
