Cage Warriors 94 takes place Saturday, June 16 at Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium. The offshore sportsbooks recently opened the odds for the card, and here they are.
Cage Warriors 94 Opening Odds
Brian Bouland -140
Ilia Topuria +100
Jai Herbert -160
Erdi Karatas +120
And here are my thoughts on the Cage Warriors 94 opening odds:
– The main event is for the vacant Cage Warriors bantamweight title. Bouland (7-1) is coming off of two-straight knockout wins in Cage Warriors, including a brutal knockout over Josh Reed back in March. The native of Belgium is a great prospect and could be in the UFC if he wins a couple more fights in CWFC. Topuria (5-0) is one of the top bantamweight prospects in Europe. The native of Spain is undefeated and has won all of his pro fights by submission. Honestly, this is a pretty tough fight to call. As good as Bouland has looked in CWFC, Topuria has looked outstanding himself fighting all over Europe. I still lean towards Bouland, but it’s not an easy call.
– Herbert (5-1) is a veteran of BAMMA and is making his CWFC debut coming off of a knockout win over another British fighter in BAMMA. However, that fight was over a year ago so he will be entering this bout off of a long layoff, which is always a concern. Karatas (9-4) is coming off of four-straight wins on the Belgium regional circuit. The native of Holland is a dangerous striker though he has been susceptible to chokes in his career. Again, another tough on to call as both guys are pretty much unknown, but I lean a bit towards the dog in this situation. I just feel like there’s a bit more upside with Karatas and I like the fact he has been fighting so much in Belgium lately, as the crowd should give him a boost here and it could be the difference between winning and losing.
