One of the largest Cage Warriors ever goes down this weekend on MMAJunkie.com in the Echo Arena in Liverpool, as Cage Warriors 57 looks to deliver another consistent night of action as they have all year. In the headliner, Paul Daley (32-12-2) is riding a hot three-fight winning streak which has culminated in three devastating knockouts for his opponents. Granted, Rodrigo Ribeiro, Patrick Vallee and Rudy Bears aren’t setting the welterweight world on fire, but Paul Daley can only take what he can get as he deals with visa issues keeping him off of US soil and in the Bellator cage. He faces Polish up and comer Lukasz Chlewicki (10-2-1). Chlewicki is an interesting fight for anyone, as he’s gone 5-1 since returning from a five-year vacation from the sport. His last loss was at the capable hands of Demian Maia in 2005, and his 5 knockouts may give him the confidence to stand with the striker, Daly. In the co-main event, Liverpool resident Danny Roberts (8-1) will be taking on Irishman Henry Fadipe (5-5-1). Roberts has only been to a decision once in his career, and is currently on a two-fight winning streak, and 3-0 in the CW cage. A win here over the game (despite his record) Fadipe may put him into title-shot contention. Fadipe is in this fight on just a few day’s notice after Roberts’ original opponent, Aldraic Cassata dropped out with an injury. Roberts is the better fighter, but Fadipe does have heavy hands and a willingness to bang. Fadipe is 1-0 in Cage Warriors with a 69-second knockout win over Charlie Watts, but is 0-1-1 over his last two. He’s hungry. Bantamweights next, as Ronnie Mann (21-5) makes his return to the UK on the heels of a two-fight losing streak in Bellator. In BFC, he went 3-3 and looked only decent against stepped up competition such as Pat Curran and Rodrigo Lima. His opponent is Jose Luis Zapatar (17-9) who is a good grappler, but has his hands full with the complete package that is Ronnie Mann. Yet another welterweight battle rounds out the main card as Jack “The Stone” Mason (24-11) faces Ali Arish (18-2) in yet another exciting fight for this card. Both of these guys like to meet their opponent in the middle of the cage and fight tooth and nail, with Mason having a slightly more vast ground game. This fight could likely go to a finish, as Mason has either knocked out or submitted 19 of his 24 wins, while Ali Arish has finished 11 of his 19 wins. Norman Paraisy (11-3) will fight Wolfslair member Leeroy Barnes (12-10) in a middleweight scrap, that perfectly fits this entire card’s theme of brutal action. Paraisy is coming off a disappointing draw against Chris Fields at CW 55, while Leeroy Barnes his last two in a row, both via guillotine choke. Barnes is better than his record suggests, as he had a rough go of it earlier in his career, but he’s 8-3 in his last eleven fights, so let’s give him some credit. Watching his last few fights, you can tell Barnes wants to finish his fights early and often, which could play in the more technical Paraisy’s hands, or not.
