Bellator returns to the airwaves on Wednesday night with the first leg of their Summer Series tournaments. This summer, we’ll bear witness to three, four-man tournaments in the heavyweight, light heavyweight and bantamweight divisions. The light heavyweight division is the marquee tournament, as it features ‘King’ Mo Lawal and ‘Babalu’ Sobral, but we saw what happened last season when those two were supposed to meet in the tournament finals. The heavyweight tournament is lower on name power, but there are some interesting prospects involved, namely last season’s runner-up Richard Hale, and Russian Vitaly Minakov. These will be the two featured divisions on this week’s card, while next week is the main attraction of the Bellator summer schedule with two title defenses.
