Former UFC and Bellator fighter War Machine was sentenced 36 years to life with a possibility of parole (when he’s 71 years old) after a Clark County (Nevada) District Court judge ruled Monday in his sexual assault and kidnapping case involving his ex-girlfriend Christine Mackinday (aka Christy Mack).
Formally known as Jonathan Koppenhaver, War Machine was found guilty on 29 of 34 charges, which were filed in March, including counts for sexual assault and kidnapping. The 35-year-old was also found guilty of battering Corey Thomas, the man that was with Mackinday the night of the assault. During his 19-fight career, he competed on Season 6 of The Ultimate Fighter and fought the likes of former UFC fighters Roger Huerta and John Alessio.
