In the Bellator main event, Rory MacDonald showed no signs of ring rust as he dominated Paul Daley from start to finish, finding a rear-naked choke in the second round to put away the veteran welterweight. MacDonald closed as a significant favorite at -390 with Daley at +320.
French heavyweight Cheick Kongo found himself in yet another close fight that went to the scorecards, but he still got his hand raised with a split-decision victory. Kongo closed as a -310 favorite with his opponent Augusto Sakai a +255 underdog.
LFA 12
Derrick Krantz dropped Ben Neumann with a left hand in the second round and followed up with ground-and-pound to win the inaugural LFA welterweight championship. Krantz closed as a -165 favorite with Neumann a +145 underdog.
Chase Waldon won a close split decision over Cully Butterfield. Waldon closed as a -260 favorite with Butterfield a +180 underdog.
Titan FC 44
Jose “Shorty” Torres became a two-division Titan champion when he won a unanimous decision over Farkhad Sharipov. Torres closed as a lofty -500 favorite with Sharipov a big +400 underdog.
Kurt Holobaugh took home the division’s lightweight interim championship when he defeated Gesias Cavalcantte by fourth-round technical knockout. Holobaugh closed as a -300 favorite with his opponent at +250.
Brazilian Gleidston DeJesus won a competitive decision over Venezuela’s Edir Terry by unanimous decision. DeJesus closed as a slight favorite at -120 with Terry at +100.
Marc Stevens knocked out fellow welterweight Robert Turnquest in the third round of their bout. Stevens closed as a -225 favorite with Turnquest a +180 dog.
Underdogs that Won
In a battle of Englishmen, Linton Vassell utilized his grappling skillset to upset former Bellator light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary. Vassell controlled the grappling and was able to secure a submission in the third round. Vassell closed as a +125 underdog while McGeary was a pre-fight -145 favorite.
