MMAOddsBreaker.com’s Fight of the Month of March 2017 goes to UFC lightweights David Teymur and Lando Vannata at UFC 209 in Las Vegas, NV on March 4th.
Teymur was a massive betting underdog heading into this co-main event contest scheduled for three rounds, but he proved to be the superior striker, as he got the better of Vannata on the feet over the course of 15 minutes in this barn burner to pick up a unanimous-decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. The win made it three straight for Teymur in the UFC and really put him on the map. This was a very fun battle from start to finish, and both fighters entertained as they showcased their skills in their efforts for victory. They had big shoes to fill when the Khabib Nurmagomedov versus Tony Ferguson co-main event was canceled, and they certainly delivered. Congratulations, David Teymur and Lando Vannata!!
