Bellator 175 took place Friday night (March 31, 2017) in Rosemont, Illinois. In the co-main event, Emmanuel Sanchez earned unanimous-decision victory (30-27 x 3) over former bantamweight champion Marcos Galvao. The three-round fight was an uninspiring matchup from both parties, but Sanchez did enough with his striking to get the job done. The Roufusport product got in the win column as a -295 favorite while Galvao’s move up to featherweight was unsuccessful as a+265 underdog. Sergei Kharitonov finally earned his first win in Bellator as he made short work of Chase Gormley. Kharitonov landed a right followed by a big right uppercut for the knockout win in the first round. The Russian took care of business as the -270 favorite while Gormley suffered another loss as the +248 underdog. The biggest betting favorite on the card — Noad Lahat — lived up to his billing as he earned a second-round victory over Lloyd Carter. After a solid first round, the UFC veteran Lahat landed an elbow to the temple of his opponent and then sunk in a rear-naked choke for the finish. Lahat shined as a massive -1000 favorite, and Carter endured another setback as a +800 underdog. Opening up the main card, Steve Kozola needed just 28 seconds to knock out opponent Jake Roberts.
