UFC Fight Night 107 took place Saturday (March 18, 2017) at the O2 Arena in London, England headlined by Manuwa vs. Anderson. In a total of 11 bouts on the fight card, seven favorites earned victories while four underdogs got their hands raised according to the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Favorites Who Won Jimi Manuwa scored a highlight-reel, one-punch knockout of The Ultimate Fighter 19 winner Corey Anderson to make it two straight wins for himself inside the Octagon, with both victories coming by way of T/KO. It was a picture perfect main event outing by Manuwa, who wants a shot at the belt next and came through as a -145 betting favorite while Anderson lost at +125. Gunnar Nelson won the first round of his bout with Alan Jouban using his superior grappling and top control, and then knocked Jouban down with a stiff shot before jumping on him with a guillotine choke to get the tap and finish. It was an impressive performance by Nelson, as he outstruck the striker before submitting him, similar to his bout against Brandon Thatch at UFC 194 last summer. “Gunni” now enjoys a two fight winning streak in the UFC and made out as a -335 betting favorite while Jouban fell flat at +275. Arnold Allen got the better of Finland’s Makwan Amirkhani both on the feet and on the mat for the majority of three rounds of action to pick up a split decision win on the judges’ scorecards. It was a solid performance by the 23-year-old Brit, who is now 3-0 in the UFC and remains undefeated as a pro. Allen came through here as a -115 favorite while Amirkhani came up short at -105. Joseph Duffy was the biggest favorite from top to bottom heading into this card, and he got the better of opponent Reza Madadi both on the feet and on the mat for the majority of 15 minutes of action to earn a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. It was a solid win for the Irishman, who will be entering free agency following the victory. Duffy was victorious as a -550 betting favorite, and Madadi was unsuccessful as a +425 underdog. Timothy Johnson used his advantages in size, strength and grappling to pick up a lackluster split decision win on the judges’ scorecards. Johnson came through as a -200 betting favorite here while Omielanczuk lost as a +170 underdog. Marc Diakiese scored the most impressive victory of his UFC career with a one-punch knockout of Finland’s Teemu Packalen, and he remains undefeated as a pro while going 3-0 inside the Octagon. Diakiese won as a -175 betting favorite here while Packalen suffered a loss at +155. Lina Lansberg defeated Lucie Pudilova via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards to pick up her first UFC victory. It was a rematch of a bout she had previously won by unanimous decision, though this one was much closer, and she looked worse than her counterpart following the bout, as she took some serious damage in the third and final round of action. Lansberg made it as a -400 favorite while Pudilova hung her head in defeat at +325. Underdogs Who Won Marlon Vera scored a come-from-behind third-round head-kick knockout of Brad Pickett in what was opponent’s retirement bout. Down two rounds on the scorecards heading into the third, and with just over a minute left in the fight, Vera landed a kick that put Pickett down and followed up with a few punches until the referee stepped in the half the action, rewarding Vera the victory as a +130 betting underdog while Pickett came close to winning as a -150 favorite but no cigar. Francimar Barroso used superior positioning against the cage and takedowns to get the better of Stewart over the course of three rounds en route to picking up a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. This was a rematch of a bout that ended with a controversial TKO win for Stewart but was later turned into a No Contest. The Brazilian came out on top in the rematch and won as a +175 underdog, and Stewart failed to come through as a -210 betting favorite. Leon Edwards defeated Vicente Luque by unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards following three very close rounds of action. It was Edwards’ superior conditioning that made the difference in this welterweight contest, as he was able to do more and spend more time in superior grappling positions to earn the nod from the judges at Octagon-side. It was a solid win for Edwards, who now enjoys a two fight winning streak in the UFC. “Rocky” came through here as a +100 betting underdog, with Luque coming up short as a very slight -120 favorite. Brad Scott defeated fellow Brit Scott Askham via split decision on the judges’ scorecards after three rounds of action that saw him out strike, outgrapple and nearly finish the very game Askham. It was a solid performance by Scott, who now finds himself back in the win column at 185 pounds. Scott got his hand raised as a +135 betting underdog in this contest, and Askham came up short at -155.
