The World Series of Fighting returns to action this Saturday (March 18, 2017) with its 35th MMA card and first-ever in the state of New York. The Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona will host three WSOF title fights and 10 bouts overall, with the prelims streamed live on WSOF.com at 8 p.m. (ET) and the main card televised on NBCSN starting at 11 p.m. The main event of the evening will see the heavyweight title on the line between champion Blagoy Ivanov (14-1) and challenger Shawn Jordan (19-7), who won his promotional debut over Ashley Gooch via first-round TKO last October 7 at WSOF 33 after his UFC contract expired. Meanwhile, Ivanov is 3-0 in the WSOF, with the lone loss of his MMA career coming against Alexander Volkov at Bellator 120 almost three years ago, and then he beat Smealinho Rama for the WSOF title. Prior to that heavyweight championship matchup, the featherweight and bantamweight title belts will be up for grabs. Unbeaten 145-pounder Andre Harrison (15-0) will try to take the belt of featherweight champ Lance Harrison (11-2) in the co-main event after Donavon Frelow (6-1) and Bekbulat Magomedov (16-1) battle for the bantamweight title vacated by Marlon Moraes after he became a free agent. Welterweight Abubakar Nurmagomedov (13-1-1), the younger brother of UFC lightweight title contender Khabib, will headline the preliminary card versus former TUF contestant Matt Secor (8-3).
