Bettors have jumped all over the main event and if they are right it won’t be a good night for Vitor Belfort. The Brazilian legend opened a +235 underdog against middleweight Kelvin Gastelum and has ballooned to a whopping +325 at time of publication. The second biggest move on the fight card is for the support of Brazilian Paulo Henrique Costa. The newcomer opened a -210 favorite, but currently sits as a -290 favorite over South African Garreth McLellan. It’s rare to see a newcomer this big of a favorite in a UFC debut, but this may have more to do with his opponent than Costa’s particular skill set. In a rematch of a fight that took place in December, Tim Means takes on Alex Oliveira. The first fight ended in controversial fashion as Means delivered an illegal knee that resulted in a no contest. Bettors liked the way Means fought in that first bout and have supported him thus far in their wagers. Means opened a -165 favorite, ballooning to over a -300 favorite, and has now settled back to a -185 favorite against Oliveira. The return on the Brazilian is +165. Two fights on this fight card have seen favorites flipped to underdogs once betting lines opened. The first of those fights is Jussier Formiga (opened -130) and Ray Borg (opened +110). At time of publication, the line has flipped to Borg being a -110 favorite and Formiga moving to a +100 underdog. In the preliminary headliner, Francisco Trinaldo opened as a -130 favorite over Kevin Lee (opened -110). Bettors have backed the upstart American moving him to a -170 favorite over the Brazilian. The fight that has seen the least movement is the lone female fight on the card. American Marion Reneau opened as a -135 favorite, but post weigh ins the line has slimmed on Reneau to just a -115 favorite. The price on Bethe Correia has remained exactly the same as the open at -105. As the fights approach, continue to monitor Several Bookmakers for the latest odds.
