In one line, I will be providing my own personal description for every fight ahead of us at tonight’s UFC 209. This article is aimed at the casual fan who is not familiar with most of the athletes competing on the card. I will also be following the Twitter rule of thumb of keeping them in 140 characters or less. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are currently made available at Several Bookmakers. And without further ado, here are my one-liners for UFC 209… MAIN CARD (FOX SPORTS 1) Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen Thompson They fought to a very entertaining draw at UFC 205 in Madison Square Garden & are now ready to run it back three months later in Las Vegas. Lando Vannata vs. David Teymur A barn burner co main event in the UFC’s lightweight division that has ‘fireworks’ written all over it; do not miss. PRELIMINARY CARD (FOX SPORTS 1) Luis Henrique vs. Marcin Tybura This heavyweight bout is a curious selection to close out the televised portion of the preliminary card, but it could be a great fight. Darren Elkins vs. Mirsad Bektic Undefeated featherweight looks to continue to climb up the division’s rankings with a dominant victory over the veteran Elkins. Iuri Alcantara vs. Luke Sanders Undefeated prospect Sanders gets the stiffest test of his professional mixed martial arts career in the form of the veteran Alcantara.
