UFC Fight Night 105: Lewis vs. Browne Date: February 19, 2017 Arena: Scotiabank Centre City: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada for the second time in promotional history this Sunday (February 19, 2017) with UFC Fight Night 105: Lewis vs. Browne. The 11-fight card is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET on UFC Fight Pass, then continue with preliminary action on FOX Sports 1 at 7 p.m. The six-fight main card will get underway at 9 p.m. on the same channel. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available to you at Several Bookmakers. Here are my parlays: Wetlerweight bout: Santiago Ponzinibbio (-400) vs. Nordine Taleb (+325) Gabe’s Thoughts: Taleb is coming off the best performance of his UFC career at UFC 196 nearly a year ago, and now he will aim to make it two straight wins against the Argentinian following the extended layoff. Ponzinibbio is riding hot on a three-fight winning streak that includes first-round TKOs of Court McGee and Andreas Stahl along with a unanimous decision over Zak Cummings, which came at his most recent outing at UFC Fight Night 92 nearly six months ago. I think Ponzinibbio is the superior fighter of the two heading into this contest, and I think he is more capable of finishing this fight. Taleb’s best shot at winning is to knock Ponzinibbio out. But I think Ponzinibbio’s chances of finishing Taleb are greater, as are his chances of winning this fight on the scorecards, despite competing on enemy territory in Canada. Gabe’s Call: Ponzinibbio by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Bantamweight bout: Aiemann Zahabi (-230) vs. Reginaldo Vieira (+190) Gabe’s Thoughts: Zahabi makes his Octagon debut and will look to remain undefeated in this contest with an impressive victory over Vieira, who is coming off a submission loss to Marco Beltran and looking to break back into the win column at 135 pounds. I see this as being Zahabi’s fight to lose, and I believe he will come out with his hand raised on Sunday night, and I expect him to win this fight in impressive fashion. I could see him dominating for all three rounds, but I favor him to win this bout by finish, most likely a submission, and I favor it to come within the first half of the fight, so I see value in the Total of Under 1.5 rounds at +180, as well as Zahabi straight-up at -230. Despite Vieira being a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he has suffered three of his four losses by submission, and I think there’s a good chance it becomes four out of five here. Gabe’s Call: Zahabi by Submission (rear-naked choke, 3:32 round 1) Gabe’s Recommeded Parlays: 1) Ponzinibbio (-400) and Zahabi (-230) at -127, and 2) Ponzinibbio (-400) and Viera/Zahabi Under 1.5 rounds (+180) at +250 All of my content and plays are free.
