Another Friday and another quality regional MMA card on AXS TV, like clockwork. This time around, the AXS TV Fights crew heads to Texas for Legacy FC 20. As usual, Legacy brings us a mix of veterans and prospects, and they seem to have found something of a niche in focusing on their Flyweight division, something many regional promotions tend to neglect. The main event of this card is the perfect example of the veteran/prospect dynamic, as Carlo Prater brings his 40+ fight resume into the cage against 6-1 Diego Ferreira, who is a phenomenal grappler. In addition UFC veterans Damacio Page and Antonio Banuelos tangle with up-and-comers Patrick Ybarra and Alptekin Ozkilic, respectively. Today, MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting lines for this card at Several Bookmakers. Check them out: ——————– Carlo Prater -175 Diego Ferreira +135 Adam Schindler -305 Chris Pecero +225 Damacio Page -140 Patrick Ybarra +100 Antonio Banuelos -140 Alptekin Ozkilic +100 ——————– Brad’s Analysis: From a stylistic standpoint, Patrick Ybarra presents everything that Damacio Page has struggled with throughout his career, which is basically having a submission game of any sort. While Page is obviously the more dangerous striker, but if the public bets up Damacio because of his name value, I won’t hesitate to put some money on Ybarra. Antonio Banuelos has not looked good at Flyweight. At all. He’s gone from a Bantamweight who was competitive with top fighters in the world, to a Flyweight struggling mightily with prospects. He’s clearly a fighter to fade until he shows something at his new weight, but overall I think he’s on the decline at this point in his career. I’m not saying you should bet Ozkilic, as he still has a lot of developing to do, simply bet Banuelos at your own peril.
