The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to return to Nashville, TN on April 22nd for the fourth time in promotional history with UFC Fight Night 108: Swanson vs. Lobov. The main event of Cub Swanson versus Artem Lobov has left many scratching their heads. This is a fight Lobov had been campaigning for, and it looks like it may end up being a case of “be careful what you wish for.” It is not surprising to see the UFC book this bout, but it is surprising to see it headline the card. The co-main event will likely be a lightweight showdown that sees the long-awaited return of Long Island’s Al Iaquinta against The Ultimate Fighter Season One veteran Diego Sanchez. This is a fight that already has fans excited. Middleweights Thales Leites and Sam Alvey are set to collide on the main card, as well. Flyweights Dustin Ortiz and Brandon Moreno are expected to kick off the main card too, and that is a scrap that has ‘fireworks’ written all over it. Other UFC Fight Night 108 matchups include Jessica Penne and Danielle Taylor battling it out in a strawweight contest, and flyweights Hector Sandoval and Matt Schnell squaring off. In the lightweight division, Scott Hotlzman will look to bounce back with a win over Michael McBride, who is in search of his first Octagon victory. All three bouts are expected to take place on the preliminary card.
