UFC Fight Night 104 took place tonight (Saturday, February 4th 2016) at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The card was headlined by “The Korean Zombie” Chang Sung Jung taking on Dennis Bermudez. Overall from a betting perspective, seven favorites won while five underdogs came through on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. Here’s a quick recap for each fight. Underdogs That Won Chan Sung Jung earned an impressive first round knockout victory over Dennis Bermudez. The Korean Zombie fought for the first time in 1,281 days (3 years, 6 months, 1 day) and earned his first win since May 2015. Zombie cashes as a +167 underdog, Bermudez comes up short as the -178 favorite. In the co-main event Felice Herrig had an impressive performance against Alexa Grasso, as she outpointed the 23-year old by unanimous decision. Herrig’s striking proved to be the difference over the three-round affair as Grasso loses for the first time in her career. Herrig cashes as a +325 underdog, while Grasso loses as the -365 favorite. Volkan Oezdemir emerged victorious in his UFC debut, edging out a split decision over Ovince Saint Preux in a light heavyweight affair. The 27-year old Swiss fighter used leg kicks and his speed to convince the judges over the three-round fight. Oezdemir cashes as a +355 underdog while OSP fails to come through as -400 favorite and has now lost four of his last five fights. Marcel Fortuna came through in his UFC debut, knocking out Jackson/Winklejohn product Anthony Hamilton in the first round. Fortuna cashes as a +240 underdog, while Hamilton comes up short as the -260 favorite. In the bantamweight division, Brazilian Ricardo Lucas Ramos earned a unanimous decision victory over Michinori Tanaka on the preliminary portion of the card. After a dominant first round, Ramos was able to hold on for the remainder of the fight to take home the win. Ramos comes through as a +110 underdog, while Tanaka loses back-to-back fights for the first time in his career and comes up short as the -120 favorite. Favorites That Won James Vick improved to 6-1 in the UFC with a third round submission victory over Abel Trujillo. Vick used his height and reach advantage to keep Trujillo at range. After sinking in a submission attempt in the second, Trujillo survived but he was able to catch the Strikeforce veteran in the third round. Vick pulls through as the -130 favorite, while Trujillo fails to cash at the +120 underdog. Jessica Andrade improved to 3-0 since dropping down to the strawweight division, after earning a gritty unanimous decision victory over Angela Hill. The 25-year old unloaded a number of power shots that likely would have dropped most fighters in the division, but Hill held on until the final bell. The Brazilian comes through as the -750 favorite, Hill falls as the +600 underdog. In a matchup of heavyweight prospects, Curtis Blaydes dominated Adam Milstead before a knee injury to the 29-year old ended the fight. Blaydes used his superior wrestling over the two-round fight and comes through as the -380 favorite. Milstead fails to cash as the +340 underdog. In the featherweight division, Chas Skelly earned his tenth career submission victory by taking out TUF 22’s Chris Gruetzemacher. Skelly gets it done as the -335 favorite, while Gruetzemacher suffers a setback as the +305 underdog. Tecia Torres earned another win over her TUF 20 cast member Bec Rawlings as the ATT product earned a unanimous decision victory. The 27-year old improved to 8-1 in the UFC and all nine of her octagon appearances have gone to decision. Torres cashed as the heavy -430 favorite, while Rawlings loses as the +380 underdog. Late replacement Niko Price pushed his career undefeated streak to 10-straight fights as he knocked out Alex Morono in the second round. Price comes through as the -175 favorite and Morono falls short as a -103 underdog. Opening up the card, TUF 23 finalist Khalil Rountree only needed 53 seconds to TKO Daniel Jolly in a light heavyweight affair. The 26-year old Rountree cashed as a -175 favorite, while Jolly failed to come through as the slight -103 underdog.
