The 12-fight card kicks off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 7pm ET, and the prelims continue on FOX Sports 1 at 8pm, with the main card getting underway at 10pm. She is a threat at 115-pounds and she welcomes back to the UFC Angela Hill, who was cut from the profotion following a pair of defeats and has since been on a hot run under the Invicta FC banner, where she picked up the promotion’s strawweight title. Both Andrade and Hill are very talented and I expect them to give it their all in effort to get their hand raised this evening, especially knowing that a victory could earn them the next shot at the division’s gold. Should these ladies take home the evening’s ‘Fight of the Night’ honors, it would be the first time for both of them. Tanaka/Ramos +600 || 1u to win 6u Michinori Tanaka is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Rani Yahya and will be looking to break back into the win column by taking out promotional newcomer Ricardo Ramos, who is the latest import from Dana White’s Lookin’ for a Fight reality series on UFC Fight Pass. A second round rear naked choke win over Alfred Khashkayan earned Ramos a shot in the big show. (Khashkayan has since gone on to defeat UFC veteran Chris Beal on the regional circuit.) Tanaka will be welcoming Ramos to the UFC in what will arguably be the stiffest test of the Brazilian’s professional mixed martial arts career. Should these 135-pounders manage to take home the bonus, it would clearly be the first time for Ramos, while being the second for Tanaka, who earned one in his Octagon debut. He lost a controversial split decision to Kyung Ho Kang and took ‘Fight of the Night’ for his efforts. Unfortunately, he tested positive in his post-fight drug test and was forced to forfeit the 50k. Morono/Price +675 || 1u to win 6.75u Alex Morono and Niko Price are both making quick turnarounds for this match-up, with Morono coming off a unanimous decision win over James Moontasri at UFC on FOX 23 back in December and Price scoring a first round arm triangle choke submission of Brandon Thatch just a couple weeks back. It was a solid promotional debut for Price, who looks to remain undefeated in this immediate return to action against hometown boy Morono, who currenly enjoys a seven fight winning streak (two inside the Octagon) and hopes to extend it in front of his home crowd. I think the crowd will be into this fight and I feel it has a good chance of proving to be a fun one. Should these welterweights take home the bonus, it would certainly be the first time for both.
