UFC Fight Night 104: Bermudez vs Korean Zombie Date: February 4, 2016 Arena: Toyota Center City: Houston, TX The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back in Houston, TX for the fifth time in promotional history with UFC Fight Night 104: Bermudez vs Korean Zombie. The 12-fight card kicks off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 7pm ET, and the prelims continue on FOX Sports 1 at 8pm, with the main card getting underway at 10pm. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available to you at Several Bookmakers. Here is my parlay: Featherweight bout: Dennis Bermudez (-200) vs Chan Sung Jung (+170) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think the main difference in this featherweight main event will be Bermudez’s activity versus Jung’s inactivity. I know Bermudez will be able to go five full rounds, no problem. I cannot say the same for Jung. I think “The Korean Zombie” may have his moments early on in this contest, but if he fails to capitalize on an early finish, I think Bermudez is going to get stronger as the fight goes on. I see this fight being competitive on the feet and I see Bermudez’s superior wrestling ultimately making the difference, as I think he will find success in scoring takedowns and spending a good amount of time in top position. If Jung’s cardio is an issue, I think Bermudez could earn a late finish in this spot, otherwise I favor him to take this fight via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards following five rounds of main event action. Gabe’s Call: Bermudez by Unanimous Decision (49-46, 50-45, 48-47) Strawweight bout: Alexa Grasso (-300) vs Felice Herrig (+250) Gabe’s Thoughts: I believe this fight all be all Alexa Grasso. I think she will dominate Herrig on the feet and I could also see her surprising many by outwrestling her. Even at her juiced up asking price of -300, I think Grasso holds value and is worth playing in this spot. This is a fight she should win and look good doing so. The only way I can see Herrig winning this match-up if she pulls off a lucky submission, and I think the odds of that happening are very slim. This is only Grasso’s second appearance inside the Octagon and I see it as being a “coming out party” of sorts, though she is the heavy betting favorite heading into the contest, as was the case with the Francis Ngannou versus Andrei Arlovski match-up a week ago. Gabe’s Call: Grasso by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommeded Parlay: Bermudez (-200) and Grasso (-300) at +100 for 4u to win 4u All of my content and plays are free.
